Why the Concierge, Self Pay Model?

Why we do not work with or bill insurance for our therapies.

We do not bill insurance. There are many reasons why we do not practice under the restrictive insurance billing model:

Insurance companies restrict access to much needed therapies for men and women in the USA.

Self-pay allows for more liberal and progressive prescribing practices.

We can treat you, the patient, not a number (as required by insurance).

As an example, current guidelines suggest that normal testosterone levels are as low as 240 ng/dL for all ages, for all body types, for all men. This leaves many men theoretically not treated because of this ridiculously low level set as what is "normal". They shouldn't be able to decide what is normal for you.

Decisions are under your control, not the insurance underwriters.

Our model allows us to provide more personalized care to patients, rather than dealing with the administrative complexities and limitations of insurance billing, which can restrict the types of services offered and limit the time we can spend with each patient. Essentially we prioritize patient access and a stronger provider-patient relationship over the need to cater to insurance company regulations.

Key Benefits:

Reduced administrative burden:

By not billing insurance, clinics can significantly reduce paperwork and time spent on administrative tasks, allowing doctors to focus more on patient care.

Greater flexibility in treatment plans:

Without insurance constraints, we tailor treatment plans to individual patient needs without worrying about coverage limitations or prior authorization requirements.

Improved patient access:

Easier access to providers, as there are no co-pays or insurance hurdles to navigate.

Potential for lower costs:

While patients pay a monthly fee, it can sometimes be cheaper than high insurance deductibles, especially for individuals with relatively stable health needs.

Gives Patients Power:

Our model gives patients the power to decide their treatment pathways, attempt innovative and progressive approaches, and promote medical independence.
