Our Ideal Patient

Lucidity Health Ideal Patient Overview

Our programs are designed for patients who are ready to take an active role in their health with realistic expectations. Just like you don’t train for a marathon in a single month, meaningful results with TRT or HRT take time. We are looking for patients who are committed to investing in their health span for the long game.

Why do we set expectations?

Hormone optimization is not a quick fix. Just like training for a marathon takes months of consistent effort, balancing hormones takes time and patience. We look for patients who understand that results often unfold over 3–12 months, and that the true benefits are in the long game. Our program is not designed for patients who are looking for a quick fix or a shortcut. We are not the right clinic for those who are pursuing hormone therapy for the wrong reasons. Hormone optimization requires consistency, follow-up, and long-term commitment. We work best with patients who are ready to invest in their health for sustainable results, not temporary changes. Please do review our Scope of Care as we are not able to work with every patient with which we consult.

Who is the ideal male patient?

Men who benefit most from our program are:
– Over 35 and experiencing low energy, low libido, weight gain, or recovery issues.
– Willing to commit to regular lab work and follow-up appointments.
– Looking beyond just “more testosterone” and instead committed to balanced health for the long term.
– Ready to pair hormone therapy with lifestyle adjustments in exercise, nutrition, and recovery.

Men often see noticeable changes faster than women, but still need to allow several months for hormones to stabilize and symptoms to improve consistently.

Who is the ideal female patient?

Women benefit greatly from HRT, but the process is often more complex:
– Hormone changes are influenced by menstrual status, perimenopause, menopause, and sometimes prior birth control use.
– Dosing requires careful adjustment of estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone.
– It usually takes longer to get dialed in than men, often closer to 6–12 months.

Women who thrive in our program understand the need to invest time and patience, with regular labs and follow-up to fine-tune their care. They are interested in increasing health span through maintaining bone strength, cardiovascular protection, and dementia prevention.

Why do some people give up early?

The most common reasons are:
– Expecting instant results. Hormones do not work like a quick medication.
– Frustration when symptoms do not fully resolve in the first few weeks.
– Lack of commitment to consistent follow-up, labs, or lifestyle adjustments.
– Not focusing on the bigger picture of long-term health benefits.

Patients who succeed are those who stay the course, trust the process, and commit to their care as a partnership with our team.

Financial Commitment

Hormone therapy is an investment in long-term health. Most patients should plan on $2000–$4000+ per year, which covers provider visits, labs, and prescribed medications. This investment reflects not just symptom relief, but the lasting benefits of hormone therapy. Please read our Subscription and Billing page for more clarity.
